About me
I have had the privilege of teaching at Hoover High School in Des Moines for 17 years in education. During this time I have taught 9th grade US and World History, sheltered ELL classes, and ethnic studies courses. I have also served as an instructional coach, mentor, and worked on curriculum development. Finally outside of my role at Hoover I have worked on developing text sets for the State Historical Society, served on the State Social Studies Committee, Standard Revision Committee, and developed and implemented professional development around state standards.
